Elon Musk and the Twitter deal have been hitting the headlines since the day news of the world’s richest man’s plan to acquire one of the largest social media giants came into the limelight. Although the deal has been in the news for all the controversy surrounding it and now both the global corporate giants are ready to lock horns in USA’s Delaware court where Twitter wants to enforce the agreement on Tesla Chief. Tesla Chief has put the deal on hold and has also accused that Twitter has ‘Hoodwinked’ him into a whopping $44 billion deal.

Musk has mentioned in his response to the court that Twitter failed to inform him about its risky legal battle with the Government of India in a state high court. He also mentioned that by getting into a stand-off with the Indian government Twitter has risked its scope in its third largest market. A strong advocate of free speech Musk has said Twitter should “hew close to the laws of the countries in which Twitter operates.”

It is known that on the 5th of June, Twitter appealed in the Karnataka High Court against the Indian Government’s order to remove the content in violation of the law. The social media giant has also accused Indian government officials of abuse of power. In response to Musk’s allegations twitter has said that the Indian Government’s order doesn’t fulfill the requirement of the IT Act and that the order of removal of the content is against the right of free speech.

Elon Musk has also accused Twitter of lying about spam accounts on the platform. In the recent development in the faceoff, the Tesla chief has also challenged Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal for an open debate on the percentage of bots on its platform.
