Seedling Of Starry Dreams:
The actress who made her debut in 2014 is the daughter of a businessman. Kavya who had a creative bent of mind from a young age has got a supportive family that nurtured her talent. She is a trained classical dancer who has showcased her finesse in the art at various prestigious events before becoming the model. Kavya says “ I always wanted to be an actress. The kind of respect and adulation’s actors receive for their work is just unmatchable. I also dreamt to be one among those shining stars.”
The Wide Range Of Work:
Kavya will soon be seen in the web series director Neeraj Pathak’s web series ‘Inspector Avinash’ and a movie titled ‘Chopur’. She says “ OTT has given great opportunities for actors like me. Web series are particularly popular among young generations, so it is easy to connect a cord with them through these platforms. One more advantage is that they provide a creative challenge to the actors. The stories have more global appeal and reach as well. The divide between big and small screens is also vanishing via these platforms.”
Besides Inspector Avinash Kavya is also working on a few more projects like the mytho-biopic series ‘ Lahora’, Krisha Reddy’s bilingual movie ‘ Devi’, director Sudhanshu Sahoo’s movie “TO NA RA MANE HAN” and a short film called ‘ Thirteen’. Kavya informs “ Each of the roles I am playing is different from the other. I am fortunate to have played all kinds of characters during my career so far. I am not limited to any particular genre.”
The Exaltation And Recognition:
Being an outsider it has not been easy to make a career in acting. She continues “ The competition is really tough here. Every day some new talent is there, so you have to be on your toes always and ready to learn” The talented actress has proved her prowess in regional cinema. She has begged the prestigious Odia State Film Award for the Best Actress for her power-packed performance in the film ‘Khushi’ in 2019 and the Best Actress Award for her performance in the movie BHOKA- THE HUNGER(Odia) recently by the Glory Awards.
The Future Goals:
In the future, Kavya wants to start her own production house and also wants to launch her own beauty product line. She says “ Although acting is my passion and I would continue to follow it, I also aim to start a production house and provide the chance to those deserving talent who are rarely considered by big production houses for various reasons. I understand the struggle of those who do not have connections in the industry and want to give them a good platform to start.”
