American Starbucks, which is the largest coffee chain of coffeehouses globally, has named Laxman Narasimhan as its next CEO. After the announcement, Mr. Narasimhan joined the remarkable league of Indian-origin CEO’s who are leading global business giants. A few other leading names that are already popular are Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella, Shantanu Narayen, Arvind Krishna, and Indira Nooyi.

Mr. Narasimhan will join Starbucks on 1st October 2022 after relocating from London (UK) to Seattle (USA). The company made the formal announcement of his appointment on September 1, 2022. Mr. Narasimhan was the CEO of UK-based Reckitt Benckiser, a multinational consumer health, hygiene, and nutrition company. Mr. Narasimhan will work closely with Starbucks interim CEO Howard Schultz before assuming the leadership role and joining the Board on April 1, 2023. The Exemplary Journey Of Laxman Narasimhan From India To The USA:
Aged 55 years, Laxman Narasimhan was born in Pune, India. He completed Bachelor in Engineering from the College of Engineering, University of Pune. Mr. Narasimhan left for the USA in 1991 to pursue an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School. He started his career with McKinsey and Co. and worked there for 19 years rising through various positions with his exemplary professional skills. In 2012 he joined Pepsi Co and excelled in the responsible position of Chief Operational Officer before leaving it in 2019.
In 2019 he joined Reckitt Benckiser, the maker of Lysol and Clearasil, as the CEO, a role he’s served for three years. The UK-based firm was struggling for revival before Mr. Narasimhan joined. Under his leadership, the company regained its strong position. He is much appreciated for his management style and transformational strategies that helped revitalize the company.
